  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A research-backed therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing memories and trauma. EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to activate the brain’s natural healing processes. This allows the nervous system to reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing their emotional intensity and helping clients integrate them in a healthier way. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR directly engages the brain’s adaptive information processing system, making it highly effective for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. Over time, painful memories lose their charge, empowering individuals to move forward with greater resilience and emotional balance.

I completed both Level 1 and Level 2 EMDR training in 2015 and have continued to deepen my work through advanced training and ongoing consultation as needed. EMDR has been a consistent part of my practice, and I have found it to be an incredibly effective approach for processing trauma, resolving distressing experiences, and shifting long-standing negative beliefs in a meaningful and lasting way.

  • Brainspotting

A powerful therapeutic approach that accesses the subconscious mind to process and release deeply stored emotional and physical trauma. By identifying “brainspots”—eye positions linked to unresolved experiences—Brainspotting helps individuals tap into the body's innate ability to heal. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which primarily engages the conscious mind, Brainspotting works at a deeper level, allowing the brain and nervous system to process stuck memories, emotions, and patterns. This method bypasses cognitive defenses, uncovering subconscious material and facilitating profound healing on emotional, somatic, and neurological levels.

I completed Brainspotting Level 1 and Level 2 training in 2020 and engaged in several years of ongoing consultation to deepen and refine my work. Brainspotting is a deeply respectful and body-centered approach, allowing the nervous system to process and release at its own pace, often in a way that feels gentle, contained, and supportive for the whole person.

  • Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy, as recognized by the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH), is a powerful therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind for deep healing and transformation. Unlike stage hypnosis, clinical hypnotherapy is a safe and evidence-based approach that helps individuals reframe negative thought patterns, release trauma, and develop healthier behaviors. By bypassing the critical mind, hypnotherapy allows clients to access inner resources, resolve emotional conflicts, and create lasting change. It is particularly effective for managing anxiety, trauma, phobias, pain, and other challenges, offering a profound pathway to healing and personal growth.

I completed my Clinical Hypnotherapy Certification training in 2020 from Dr. Becky Beaton-York through The Knowledge Tree and advanced training the following year. Hypnotherapy can support resourcing and nervous system stabilization, as well as gradual exposure to reduce reactivity and build confidence. It may also include regression-based exploration for more complex or layered experiences, or a focused approach to help process and resolve discrete traumatic events. This is always guided by each client’s readiness and inner wisdom. I now have the honor of teaching fellow clinicians this transformative approach.

  • Induced After-Death Communication (IADC®)

A specialized therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process grief and find healing after the loss of a loved one. Developed by Dr. Allan Botkin, IADC® uses a refined Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) technique to access deep emotional processing within the subconscious mind. This method helps release unresolved grief and can facilitate profound experiences of connection, providing comfort and a sense of peace. IADC® is not about suggestion or imagination but rather allowing the brain’s natural healing mechanisms to bring resolution and emotional relief, making it a powerful tool for those struggling with deep loss.

I completed formal training in Induced After-Death Communication (IADC®) in 2022 and continue to seek consultation as needed to support this work with care and integrity. This approach can be profoundly helpful in processing grief and facilitating a sense of connection and resolution following loss. It is important to note that this work requires a readiness to gently and fully experience feelings of sadness, and is typically recommended after at least one year has passed since the loss. IADC® sessions are extended in length and are conducted in close succession, often within a 24-hour period, to support continuity and integration of the experience.

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), recognized by the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP), is a powerful, evidence-based mind-body approach that combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure tapping. By gently tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on distressing thoughts or emotions, EFT helps regulate the nervous system, reduce emotional intensity, and rewire limiting beliefs. This technique is highly effective for managing stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional blocks, allowing individuals to process unresolved experiences and restore emotional balance. EFT, endorsed by ACEP, is a safe and accessible self-healing tool that empowers individuals to create lasting change in their mental and emotional well-being.

I completed Level 1 EFT training through the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) in 2021 and incorporate EFT techniques in my work to support the reprocessing of distressing past experiences. Tapping is also used as a gentle, accessible tool to support nervous system regulation and increase a sense of emotional steadiness and resilience.

  • HeartMath®

A science-based approach that helps individuals regulate stress, enhance emotional resilience, and achieve greater well-being by harnessing the power of heart-brain coherence. Using biofeedback technology and evidence-based techniques, HeartMath® teaches individuals how to shift their physiological and emotional states in real time. By focusing on breathwork, heart-focused meditation, and positive emotion activation, this method balances the nervous  system, reduces anxiety, and improves cognitive clarity. HeartMath® is widely used in healthcare, counseling, and personal development to help individuals cultivate emotional balance, resilience, and a deeper connection between mind and body.

As a HeartMath® Certified Practitioner and Trainer, I incorporate this approach both as a stand-alone method to support nervous system regulation and heart-centered awareness, and as an integrative tool alongside other therapeutic modalities. This allows for a flexible, client-centered experience that supports both immediate regulation and deeper, sustained change.

  • Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support clients experiencing high levels of anxiety and avoidance, using it both as a standalone intervention and in integration with hypnotherapy to deepen and support the process of change. ERP is a well-established, evidence-based approach and is widely considered a gold standard in the treatment of anxiety-related conditions, helping clients build tolerance to distress and reduce patterns of avoidance over time. When a client presents with or is diagnosed with OCD, I believe it is important that they receive the most specialized care possible. In these cases, I thoughtfully refer to clinicians with advanced training in OCD treatment, ensuring clients are supported with the depth of expertise this work often requires.

  • Heart-Aligned Counseling

This evolving framework centers on supporting individuals in reconnecting with their internal sense of knowing, compassion, and alignment. In our work together, we create space for you to connect more deeply with yourself, to hold your experiences with greater awareness, and to begin navigating life in ways that support your wholeness. This includes supporting you in reconnecting with your own intuition and developing greater trust in your inner awareness as a guide in your healing and in your life. This process may include exploring meaning, values, and, if it resonates, a sense of spiritual connection—defined in whatever way feels most authentic and supportive for you.

Our work is grounded in the understanding your heart already holds the wisdom needed for your healing. As we engage both the mind and body, healing unfolds as the heart activates, the nervous system settles, and the whole self is welcomed with compassion. I draw from a variety of interventions and modalities within this heart-centered approach, integrating what I have found to be most supportive in helping each person move toward greater connection, clarity, and alignment. I feel deeply honored to hold space for each person as a facilitator of their healing process.
